at 19.00 Dance Theatre Zick “Forgotten Poetry”
Dance Theatre Zick begins the performance “Forgotten Poetry” with a question: what should I ask first? If there are three dancers on stage, who know perfectly well what a paradise is supposed to be like, then what happens when a new paradise appears, to where they have no business entering? The right to the paradise seems to be there, however, the question of how to bend your rules to match that other, often seems to become a challenge between your words and actions, imagination and reality. What questions do we need to answer? Three dancers on stage take their assignment sincerely, without compromise and concentrate on the ideal, which in real life is absurd in it’s uncompromised form.
Dance Theatre Zick is known for it’s theatrical and movement based dance performances. Jaan Ulst, who finished his choreography studies in Holland in the summer of 2008, is still new and fresh to Estonia’s contemporary dance field. “Forgotten Poetry” is a lively, physical and playful dance performance, real dream of a forgotten paradise.
